One evening, the sky turned dark and the wind began to howl. Mia and her family were inside, watching the weather report. 'A big storm is coming,' the reporter said. They checked the windows and brought their dog inside. Thunder shook the house, and lightning lit up the sky. Mia felt nervous but stayed close to her parents. They played board games to stay calm. Suddenly, the lights went out. Her dad lit candles, and they all sat together in the living room. The storm lasted for hours, but eventually the rain slowed and the thunder faded. In the morning, the sun came out and the garden was full of puddles. Mia splashed in the water and smiled. 'Storms can be scary,' she said, 'but they bring rain and rain brings life.'
